Ferno Introduces the LBS Jr. Bariatric Board

WILMINGTON, OH — Ferno has released the LBS Jr. Bariatric Board. Based on the popular LBS, the LBS Jr. quickly attaches to an ambulance cot to increase its surface area to provide greater comfort to bariatric patients and prevent the patient load from shifting, which helps to improve stability.

The key feature of the LBS Jr. is its folding "wings" which reduce the Bariatric Board's width to just 29" in the folded position for better maneuverability through narrow doorways and tight hallways. When deployed, the wings increase the Bariatric Board's width to a full 42". The LBS Jr. also folds in half for easy storage in an ambulance compartment when not in use.

The LBS Jr. comes complete with mounting pins and blocks for quick attachment to the cot on-scene, and the Manta Transfer Sheet, which assists with transferring patients up to 800 lbs. A mattress is also available for added patient comfort.
